Michael Rahme Has Arrived

Beiber, Drake... Michael....

Unknown by some but soon to be revered by many. Michael Rahme is here to stay for a long time.

Sometimes when you’re listening to a new song, lyrics here or there might hint at something suggestive. But at the same time, the songwriter has played things coyly enough to make it uncertain whether a particular artist is really singing about sex, love, fear … or just singing words that happen to work as a double entendre for those whose minds accidentally drift in the wrong direction.

Michael Rahme doesn’t succumb to such sly misdirection on any of his most recent releases including "A Love Story", "Collapse", and "She Says". Inspired by some of the greats of our generation like Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran. The 20-year-old singer from Ottawa, Canada has always had a strong passion for singing and the art of song making and it's evident in his music.

In today's music space there are so many carbon copies and recycled lines and phrases so it's very refreshing to hear someone use a wider range of analogies and vocabulary to express their sentiments. The combination of his voice, wordplay, and production create a listening environment. One that is unique. When the music comes on the listener has no choice but to conform to the mood of the music. Often people will play music in an attempt to fit the vibe of the room or the people they are with. Sure, songs like "A Love Story" can do that but its impact is in bringing the listeners into Michael's world.

While most of us are stuck in the house due to quarantines and stay-at-home orders Michael has even had the presence of mind to create music to fit the times. A true mark of artistry. The song "Collapse" encapsulates that. For most of us, the novel coronavirus has created a scary and difficult time. And while this song is not as warm as "A Love Story" it's comforting. Knowing that there are others out there that are going through what you are creating a sense of hope as you play the song. Not to mention the cadence and pace of the song create great replay value. Fans would agree as that song recently just hit 100,000 streams on Spotify. An impressive start for an unsigned artist.

Michael record "She Says" is currently at 152,000 streams so clearly the fans recognize the immense talent from the 20-year-old Canadian.
