Celebrating his 36th birthday, Kid Cudi was gifted a new customized chain from Ben baller based on artwork from Takashi Murakami.
This is not the first time Ben Baller has crafted such a unique chain for Cudi, nor the first time Takashi Murakami has had his artwork intertwined linked with the artist. Ben Baller was the creator of the custom BAPE piece.
The pendant is drenched in pink sapphires and red rubies to complement its 18K rose gold base. Flipping over to the back of the pendant, “General Cud” engraved just above a graphic resembling the cover of Kid Cudi’s Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon album.
As for Takashi Murakami, the Japanese contemporary artist has done work with Kid Cudi and Kanye West. Takashi was responsible for the artwork for Kanye's 2007 album "Graduation". In 2019 Kanye and Cudi took a trip across the globe to have Takashi design the cover for the 2019 collaborative album "Kids See Ghost".
